The Power of the Air Horn!*

Many are familiar with the scripture phrase “the prince of the power of the air” as referring to Satan,¹ which was the phrase that immediately came to mind when pastor Charlotte Quist² spoke of the truckers' convoy and of its reminder for her of God's use of sound in several dramatic events:

• the great shouting of Joshua and the people as the priests blew the seven trumpets at the fall of the walls of Jericho³;
• David waiting to hear the sound of marching in the treetops before commencing battle against the Philistines⁴;
• Gideon and his 300 being directed to break pitchers holding lights and to shout in the middle watch of the night to terrify the sleeping, warrior hosts of the east.⁵

For pastor Quist, the honking of the convoy had a prophetic sound:

Whatever your personal feelings about the freedom convoy taking place in Canada right now, the prophetic nature of the SOUND that has come from the movement and the prophetic message for CANADA that is tied to it should not be ignored. / Canada is called to be and to bring healing to the nations, a prophetic word for Canada inspired by Revelation 22:2 "And the leaves of the tree will be for the healing of the nations."

What a thought-provoking insight considering the global response to the Canadian Freedom Convoy 2022.

I thought of all those horns pummeling the air like trumpets — sounds so distressing to the “prince of the air” that those reminiscent echoes could not be tolerated. And so, those who do not know, or perhaps who do not care whom they serve in this historic event have forbidden their sounding in Ottawa, but elsewhere, worldwide, they are sounding. We are hearing “the sound of a shaken leaf.”⁶

Evil is no longer leashed or hiding. Its face is bared for all the world to see. As Jesus foretold:

10 The thief^[7] cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.⁸

So, however things appear, however the powers maneuver, they cannot prevail. They expose and defeat themselves in their frenzy, rage, hypocrisy, and pride. We do what is in our power and leave the rest to God. We take the way of peace, integrity, and love. The blood-stained battles of Joshua, David, Gideon, and others are in the past. Ours is the way of Christ, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and others who, instead of shedding blood, gave their blood in pursuit of peace and justice. We pray it does not come to that for us — that our willingness will be counted as enough.

But in the words of Viktor Frankl:

“A human being is not one thing among others; things determine each other, but man is ultimately self-determining. What he becomes— within the limits of endowment and environment— he has made out of himself. In the concentration camps, for example, in this living laboratory and on this testing ground, we watched and witnessed some of our comrades behave like swine while others behaved like saints. Man has both potentialities within himself; which one is actualized depends on decisions but not on conditions.”⁹

The Vulnerable Appeal

As many have seen in recent weeks, the MSM (especially CBC), presents, almost exclusively. the voice of common folk and “professionals” who are living in fear, believing in the pscience narrative,¹ or appealing to “love thy [vulnerable] neighbor” to justify continued masking, vaxxing, and lockdowns.²

But recently I listened to a young mother of an immuno-compromised child (cancer) express her dismay at how some are so willing to sacrifice fundamental freedoms on the alter of their own or another's sickness or vulnerability. To her, this one-sided focus misrepresents many of the vulnerable and their families; it was to discount their courage, their trust in God, their love of freedom, and yes, their love for their neighbors. This mother and her child were in and out of hospital during the first year of the pandemic and despite their many exposures, they and their family were blessed with relative wellness. But it disturbs her when families like hers are presented as one of the excuses for imposing irreparable harm and injury on millions. To her, such appeals are contorting love of neighbor or concern for the vulnerable into a power transfer that denies God-given agency and inverts what love really means.

A question to consider in all this is whether most of our frailties or vulnerabilities are not man-made? Of course, many of the vulnerable had no personal choice in their situation, but where did their vulnerability originate? Yes, sometimes as a  result of individual choice and consequence; sometimes  through the choices of others, distant or current; but perhaps most often through the simple fact of being born into a corrupted world.

If we remember: in the beginning, every creation period was called good, except for the sixth which concluded with the creation of male and female, and thereafter all was called very good.³ Then came the eviction from Eden. Man began using his knowledge of good and evil and, as history proves, frequently for evil.

In our own lifetime we can see much good, but also much evil because, every mortal body has been compromised, to varying degrees, both before and after birth, by man-made toxins and pollutions of water, air, food, pharma, ignorance, life-style, and on and on. In many ways, it is amazing we survive as long as we do in states of fluctuating health and sickness. We survive because of that very good day millennia ago. Except evil (the great corrupter of good and very good) loves to false flag creation as being so flawed in design as to justify further pollutions, corruptions, experiments, and interventions in the name of (to recycle a recent phrase) “build back better.” Or is this the real truth: some men and women are just trying to remediate what other men and women have ruined?

Our day is not unique in its corruption of very good. Why do we think that God authorized the complete destruction of entire peoples? Why the flood? Had they so corrupted their flesh (and spirit) that there was no healing because there was no repentance? and that innocent children were inheriting those corruptions and suffering without hope for health or healing? Could Noah's contemporaries have had their own versions of “spike protein” or graphene? And if we think the ancients were too primitive, consider the medical equivalent of ancient architecture which we cannot understand or replicate. How is knowledge lost so completely that it requires square-one rediscovery? Consider our own still lost technology of space flight(?) to the moon⁴ or of Roman concrete.⁵

This human body is beyond marvelous and no one, whatever they may claim, understands its gestalt genius. Too many medical and  pharma pscientists seem like cavorting teens randomly flipping switches in a particle accelerator to see what might happen. But back to the vulnerable. Science has discovered and invented astonishing things to help the disabled and the health compromised to live better, more fulfilling lives, but living in fear and asking others to live in fear or guilt will never be healthy for anyone.

Letter to JRC Law School

This post publishes a letter (email) sent yesterday to seven administrators and law professors at the J. Reuben Clark Law School. When we claim rights and freedoms, we also have responsibilities, and one of those responsibilities is to speak-up in defense of freedom. This post is an appeal, to all who continue to support the COVID narrative, to reflect on where they have put their trust and why.

Just over one week ago, many of us were invited to the JRCLS Annual Fireside with this bullet point heading the list of “notes” for attendees:

• Masks are required; attendees must be vaccinated.

Could someone please explain, in light of:

    1. these documented exposés:

• Breggin, Peter; Breggin, Ginger. COVID-19 and the Global Predators: We Are the Prey
• Kennedy Jr., Robert F. The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health;

Yes, in light of all these and many more, WHY are the JRCLS and BYU campuses demanding vaccination and masking when the COVID narrative is in dispute and unsupported by unfolding evidence? Have we learned nothing from the Book of Mormon? from Nuremberg? from teenager Helmuth Hübener who was reinstated to LDS membership after his excommunication by his branch president and his execution by German authorities? Have we so soon forgotten his courage and integrity in resisting Nazi crimes against humanity?[9] Or do we think none of the above 12 points apply because some scientists[10] and other profiteers have declared a pandemic and mandated experimental vaccination for "our good"? – a vaccine that is now proving neither safe nor effective[11].

Have we, like the church at Ephesus, left our first love[12] thinking that alleged love of our neighbor (the second love[13]) justifies trusting in the arm of flesh or trusting in those who have proven, time after time, to be liars and deceivers?[14]

Would someone please explain why we are continuing to sustain this crumbling narrative of fear-driven domination and destruction of God-ordained rights, freedoms, and dignity? Where is our courage? Where is our remembrance of history? Where is our discernment? Where is our trust in a magnificent God – His omniscience, His omnipotence, His omnipresence, His forgiveness?

Have we noticed how often God pushes or allows things to be pushed to the limit? Remember:

Abraham & Isaac
How Abraham's hand, holding the sacrificial knife, was in the air before the angel spoke: “Lay not thine hand upon the lad ...”¹

King Hezekiah
How Jerusalem was surrounded by a formidable, cruel, conquering Assyrian army of 185,000, camped for the night, ready to attack at dawn. But before the sun arose, the entire army had succumbed to something in the night and all were dead.²

The Prophecy Believers
How the hostility against believers in a prophecy (that at Christ's birth there would be a day, a night and a day as one day) was so great that the mockers and unbelievers threatened “that all those who believed in those traditions should be put to death except the sign should come to pass.” And how, on the eve of that threat, the sign commenced.³

Apostle Peter
How Peter, lying in prison, awaiting a morning judgment by the same king Herod who had recently killed James, his brother in the Gospel, was awakened by an angel and led through prison gates to freedom.⁴

In these cases, rescue came at nigh the last minute as has been done thousands of times for others, though most did not know till that last minute whether rescue would come in this life or whether it would come after death – at the resurrection.

In this COVID-19 scenario (and coming substitute crises), we won't know what the tyrannical limit will be allowed to be — whether some will be required to endure a Viktor Frankl experience or worse.⁵ Few could have imagined the many historical atrocities in the months before the atrocities began: the India / Pakistan partition, Mao's Cultural Revolution, Nazi Germany, Pol Pot in Cambodia, the Rwandan and Kosovo tragedies, the French and other European Revolutions, the Phoenix Program⁶ in Viet Nam, the Iraq War, and on and on.

Yes, many, despite their honorable choices, will not be rescued in this life like Abraham, Isaac, and the other examples, or like Viktor Frankl who found him still miraculously alive when the allied forces arrived at the camp gates.⁷

So what is the lesson in last minute rescues? Is it to trust God to the end — whatever end it proves to be? If we give in to demands that violate our conscience, our bodily integrity, our knowledge, how will we know if some sort of rescue might have come had we endured in integrity, faith, courage, and in defense of freedom?

Let us hold on — through and past the deadlines, the mandates, the threats. God is in this crisis. It is both: 1) a test of trust in and love for God; and 2) a test of how we will use our power and influence vis-à-vis our fellow beings in helping them also prove faithful in the first test (of trust in and love for God).

Thus, a vital question is: Have we, like the church at Ephesus, left our first love⁸ thinking that alleged love of our neighbor (the second love⁹) justifies trusting in the arm of flesh or trusting in those who have proven, time after time, to be liars and deceivers?¹⁰

So what is our stance on vaccination? Are we willing to honor God-given agency or do we demand compliance to a disputed narrative coercing an experimental injection? And what is it that coercion honors? a Nazi-like narrative¹¹? the power, gain, glory, and domination agendas of a world gone mad violating Constitutions, Bills and Charters of Rights, and God-given freedoms? violating the Nuremberg Code¹²? violating the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights¹³? violating the Declaration of Helsinki¹⁴?

Let us: “Remember therefore from whence [we are] fallen, and repent, and do the first works.”

Let us: Say NO to fear; Say NO to coercion; Endure in faith to the end, whatever that end may be.

Do Pronouns Matter?

The Thee, Thou, Thine ... Question

This post concerns second person pronouns (singular: thou, thee, thine, thyself; and plural: ye, you, your, yourself).¹ Undoubtedly, some do not know (or even care) about the history of our English second person singular and plural pronouns. It's all water under the bridge — a seeming archaic, cumbersome, singular form that feels formal and awkward, though, in early practice, it was never formal, respectful, honorific, or awe-filled? It was informal, intimate.

Some ironic reasons for the singular abandonment are listed below,² but what if we have lost something vital by abandoning the intimate singular form (thou, thee, thine) when adopting the now ambiguous (singular / plural) you? Do we think that converting thou and thee to you is innocuous? Could there be something we are missing like the “innocuous” Ether 2:20 deletions that Hugh Nibley lamented?³

I believe God accepts all sincere appeals no matter the pronoun usage, but something I have observed is the ubiquitous intermixing of second person singulars and plurals in every book of scripture, often when God is speaking.⁴ (Aside: How wonderfully revealing of God's nature that He would intermix His many singulars with a child's plural you's when quoting that child.⁵) But for all the other intermixings: are they just the stumblings of careless prophets or scribes or translators, mis-recording God's speech? Or should we be more aware of possible purpose and targeted application?

I feel a sense of great loss that it is almost impossible now to acquire newer religious anthologies or expositions that quote scripture or address appeals to God that use the intimate singular. I wonder if we, in the English Christian world, have lost some measure of intimacy with God in abandoning our intimate forms while many other languages have retained theirs? But as I observed in a 2010 post⁶ on the language of prayer:

English, however, is the mother tongue of many and if some ... cannot find intimacy in the narrowed usage of thee and thou, perhaps alternate usage is a matter left to them and God.

Severing Roots and Branches?

In all four books of the People-of-the-Books (being Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price), we find this same or similar verse¹:

1 FOR, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

What is it “to do wickedly”?

Is it as common as the offences charged against Martin Harris in 1828?²

Even as common as “go[ing] on in the persuasions of men”?³ or devils?⁴

I wonder if we comprehend how dire the present world situation?⁵ how subtle and beyond imagination the test we have been given? If honest science (not corrupted pscience⁶) is revealing an agenda to alter God-given DNA,⁷ what could that mean for roots and branches?

If we acquiesce to corruption of our DNA, for whatever reason, could this, over time and increasing injections, sever us from our roots – our ancestors? and from our already born descendants? Will the father and mother no longer be identifiable in the genetics of a son or daughter; and vice versa?⁸ Or is it a question of familial (and/or divine) frequencies?

Should we be pondering, investigating such questions?

If one has ever watched videos of “finding and reuniting lost family members,”⁹ one has witnessed the emotional, instant bonding of most. Is this, in part, a reflexive recognition of unique, familial, energy frequencies? Perhaps that is why there is such a huge market for DNA testing and searching ― where the hearts of fathers and mothers are turned to their [lost] children and the hearts of children are turned to their [lost] fathers and mothers?¹⁰

Could modern technology and medical pscience be deliberately damaging those frequencies?

And what are we doing now!!!? priming children to trust in the “wisdom and persuasions of men”? to innocently believe in the safety and efficacy of products sold by corporations who have been fined, time after time, in the billions, for egregious lies and for violations of law¹¹ (not to mention ethics and morals)? to blindly, enthusiastically consent to a Russian Roulette gamble?¹²

Because God is both Justice and Mercy, He has the power to heal and save, especially innocent children, but what of those who willfully choose to not see and not hear¹³ that trusting in the arm of flesh is wickedness? If after being made aware of DNA altering and human patenting (GMHO) agendas, one chooses to keep trusting in boosters and liars, then whatever God judges, will it not be Just? Of course, God has matchless power to heal, but could the severing of root and branch be a natural consequence of willful acceptance of DNA and/or frequency corruption?

But here is a promise:

10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.¹⁴
