Imagined Questions by the “Keeper of the Gate”?*

Sometimes, before a final exam, a professor gives a pre-test sample. What would our score be on this imagined pre-test:

1. Did you believe My warning about “evils and designs which do and will exist in the hearts of conspiring men in the last days”?¹

[I]n the teaching of Jesus, the sayings on nonviolence and love of enemies will hold a central place. Not because they are more true than any others, but because they are the only means known for overcoming domination without creating new dominations. I submit that the ultimate religious question today should no longer be the Reformation's question, "How can I find a gracious God?" but rather, "How can we find God in our enemies?" What guilt was for Luther, the enemy has become for us: the goad that can drive us to God. What has often been a purely private affair—justification by faith through grace—has now, in our age, grown to embrace the world. As John Stoner comments, we can no more save ourselves from our enemies than we can save ourselves from sin, but God's amazing grace offers to save us from both. There is, in fact, no other way to God for our time but through the enemy, for loving the enemy has become the key both to human survival in the nuclear [and bio-warfare] age and to personal transformation. ... Today, more than ever, we must turn to the God who causes the sun to rise on the evil and on the good, or we may have no more sunrises. // Jesus' teachings about nonviolent direct action and love of enemies are also the acid tests of true Christianity.⁸

If we refuse to acknowledge there is an enemy combined in this crisis “to destroy the souls of men;”⁹ 
If we continue to blame this world lock-down on “Nature doing her natural thing;”
If we will not awaken to a sense of our awful situation as commanded;
If we insist on remaining in our blissful, positive,¹⁰ passive ignorance;
HOW can we expect our prayers and fasting to be efficacious when we so casually forget / ignore / discount these latter-day repeating realities?

Have we yet prayed for those enemies snared in the hierarchies of obedience — many of whom “know not what they do”? that they be brought to greater awareness, conscience, repentance, and courage?

“Not Everyone is Learning from the Past”?

It is doubtful most readers of this will be familiar with Madonna's 2019 Eurovision performance of “Future.”¹ We may think Madonna has no relevance to our life, let alone our future, but what if she reveals in word and image what is planned in coming days for US²? What if she graphically presents (in subtle? but plain sight) what the “powers” (her masters?) imagine in their hearts—if seeing we would but see? if hearing we could but hear? What if her final whispered WAKE UP is a (supposed) karmic shift of responsibility³?

When her words are juxtaposed with the images, can we see and hear the message?

Furthermore, can we be open to considering the enhanced perspective of an artist named Jonathan Kleck⁵? JK may be unconventional; he may not fit our expectations or some latter-day “norm,” but can we listen long enough to appreciate his 17-year long journey to comprehend and reveal the oft-veiled obsessions, and agendas of this world? the plots and ploys of power, enslavement, and destruction? Do we have to agree with everything JK thinks or says or can we exercise enough discernment to extract the truths that reveal what is, was, and is to come? to remember?

We believe in all truth, no matter to what subject it may refer. No sect or religious denomination in the world possesses a single principle of truth that we do not accept or that we will reject. We are willing to receive all truth, from whatever source it may come; for truth will stand, truth will endure.⁶

“To Make the Known Unknown”?

If there is a succinct phrase that could describe the condition of our day, it might be the title to this post.

"To make the known unknown."*

God's promise has always been the reverse: to make the unknown known to those who seek:

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. (Old Testament | Jeremiah 33:3)

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (New Testament | Matthew 7:7)

BUT in this age we have become inundated with fake news, false flags, propaganda, and psy-ops orchestrated and funded by the very powers that claim to have our best interests and security at heart. We have fallen into an age where that which is known to millions is ignored by millions as though what they know (what witness after witness has revealed at risk to life and limb) were completely unknown. As if we cannot bring ourselves to see, hear, or speak about what is being done in our world. As if we cannot remember:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (New Testament | Ephesians 6:12)

This Déjà Vu blog has tried, over the past decade, to help keep conscious that which is known (has been witnessed time after time) about the forces and fabrications of the adversary; a consciousness of not resisting evil with evil but of resisting the powers with awareness, prayer, exposure, and invitations to redemption.

Here is a brief excerpt detailing our current circumstance from “Engaging the Powers” by Walter Wink:

The world-atmosphere teaches us what we can value. In the Domination System generally, it teaches us to value power. In any particular society, however, power is given specific shape by the peculiar conditions of the time. What characterizes our society is the unique value ascribed to money. People in every age have coveted wealth, but few societies have lionized the entrepreneur as ours does. Aristocratic societies—and most societies have been aristocratic—have tended to look down on acquisitiveness and to despise merchants. Modern capitalism, by contrast, has made wealth the highest value. Our entire social system has become an "economy"; no earlier society would have characterized itself thus. Profit is the highest social good. Consumerism has become the only universally available mode of participation in modern society. The work ethic has been replaced by the consumption ethic, the cathedral by the skyscraper, the hero by the billionaire, the saint by the executive, religion by ideology. The Kingdom of Mammon exercises constraint by invisible chains and drives its slaves with invisible prods. (How rare it is for rich people to say, "I have enough.") But Mammon is wiser in its way than the dictator, for money enslaves not by force but by love.

The world-atmosphere also teaches us what to see. "One can say not only that as individuals we live within a sociocultural organism but also that the sociocultural organism lives within us. Not only are we individual units within an organized society, but organized society is represented and incarnated within our brains." Whatever the System tells our brains is real is what we are allowed to notice; everything else must be ignored. "We give the system the power to make the known unknown."^[*] Thus we are taught to mistrust our own experiences.

Every observation is a directed observation, that is, an observation for or against a point of view. Every mind is a "contaminated mind," a mind constructed of a network of suppositions and assumptions. All descriptions are paradigm-conditioned and value-laden. A Skinnerian and a Freudian will not only describe the same behavior in incompatible ways, but their conceptual frameworks actually cause them to see different behaviors. The observed behavior is different in each case. The result of this limitation on what we are allowed to see is a miniaturization of our living world.

These limitations of sight are to a degree merely a consequence of finitude. But to some extent they are also the result of a system that is deliberately blinding us to God's true intent for humanity:

"Nonviolence for the Violent"?

The great déjà vu of history must be the continuity of domination systems and the violence that sustains them. When we look at our inner and outer selves and at the systems we have established, almost all—whatever the “altruistic” origins—seem to rapidly devolve into domination systems, even within our families.

But perhaps the greatest domination system in history is the deep state fronted by US, our secretive agencies, and coerced allies. When we finally open our eyes and ears to the depth of murder and mayhem that we have resorted to in pursuit of power, gain, and so-called security, the crimes and corruptions of the socialist/communist system will pale in comparison to those of the secretive, hypocritical Babylonian system¹ that we have embraced and energized.

The violence that has been perpetrated by this nation that was born in such hope and promise is tragic beyond description. Many have tried to witness what they have seen and experienced, but so few USians want the truth; but for those who do, what do WE do so that we do not mirror the violence?

Perhaps we can learn vital lessons from 2000 years ago—not from the supposed wimp Jesus, but from the radical, outspoken Jesus who used the domination system against itself in nonviolent ways. Perhaps it is time to reassess what Jesus really intended with turn the other cheek; with let him have thy cloak also; with go the second mile.²

Have you ever noticed:

▪ how so many people conduct tirades against socialism / communism¹ all the while describing the crimes of corrupted banking cartels and corporations — those kingpins (twin pillars) of capitalism — and then finish up their tirade by shaking their fists at those ______ socialists without ever recognizing the untenable conflation?

▪ how most Christians seem strangely nonchalant about Babylon as the great nemesis of Zion (vis-à-vis socialism / communism) and how the descriptions of Babylon¹ do not remotely describe socialism / communism?

▪ how susceptible many of us are to believing (hook, line, and sinker) the propaganda and outright lies of corporate power and money establishments — those prime beneficiaries of capitalist and fascist systems?

▪ how most Christians seem to think that God's economy is CAPITALISM and “FREE” markets, writ large, whereas scripture and prophecy describe God's economy² as a gift economy where equity plays a leading role? E.g.:

That you may be equal in the bonds of heavenly things, yea, and earthly things also, for the obtaining of heavenly things. For if ye are not equal in earthly things ye cannot be equal in obtaining heavenly things; For if you will that I give unto you a place in the celestial world, you must prepare yourselves by doing the things which I have commanded you and required of you. ▪ how many Christians seem to think that competition brings out the best in mankind and accounts for major advancements without ever pondering where our world would be if we had lived a philosophy of cooperation, of freely sharing gifts and ideas, of loving our neighbor as ourself?

▪ how much crime, corruption, mayhem, and murder has been justified by “democracy lovers” in the “American” fight against those ______ socialists / communists? (Read David Talbot's The Devil's Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America's Secret Government.³)

▪ how the devil, as the primeval psychopath, has always:

▪ how resistant to setting aside our political, racial, cultural, economic, social, and religious differences in support and defense of a remarkable Constitution?⁷

▪ how slow to join in a unified work to cleanse the ubiquitous (déjà vu) Gadiantons⁸ of these last days?

Would Jeremiah repeat himself in our day if he took up the task of trying to open our eyes to our most dangerous enemy?

False Patriotism?

If God began with Plan A for America and then America resorted to Plans B through Z, shouldn't we cast off the pretense and hypocrisy of unthinking patriotism? Shouldn't we be the most informed about the repetitive cycle of power and gain agendas? of secret conspiracies to usurp power? "The Love of Money"?

(Another Prophetic Voice from the Dust — of 1800s AD?)

I know of no country, indeed, where the love of money has taken stronger hold on the affections of men, and where the profounder contempt is expressed for the theory of the permanent equality^[1] of property. (Tocqueville, Alexis de, Democracy in America, vol. 1)

Men living in democratic ages have many passions, but most of their passions either end in the love of riches or proceed from it. The cause of this is, not that their souls are narrower, but that the importance of money is really greater at such times. When all the members of a community are independent of or indifferent to each other, the co-operation of each of them can only be obtained by paying for it: this infinitely multiplies the purposes to which wealth may be applied, and increases its value. Without Excuse?

Listening to the various views of Trumpers and anti-Trumpers in the past week, I have wondered what God thinks of all the “prophetic” interpretations and comparisons that have been laid at the feet of the president-elect. Is Trump a latter-day Cyrus¹ as so many are alleging, or could he really be the latter-day Mattaniah/Zedekiah² that Old Testament Jeremiah (Chpt. 21) warned, chastised, and lamented?

Has there ever been an election where “motes and beams”³ were so evident? where loyalists on both sides were so spell-bound they could not see (the 360 truth of their candidate) when seeing it? could not hear (the 360 truth) when hearing it? when the “sins” of their chosen ones were ignored, discounted, dismissed, excused, even spun into filigree in order to hold fast to loyalties? preferences? hopes? But where are our loyalties supposed to be?

Wherefore, honest men and wise men should be sought for diligently, and good men and wise men ye should observe to uphold; otherwise whatsoever is less than these cometh of evil. And I give unto you a commandment, that ye shall forsake all evil and cleave unto all good, that ye shall live by every word which proceedeth forth out of the mouth of God. What does one do when one is faced with a reverse “Sophie's Choice”?⁴—when the imposed choice is between two power-hungry candidates? Are we so naive about our rapid descent into darkness that we think the fork in the downward road gave us a right choice? that the adversary of all good cannot have a forked tongue? that both these candidates did not transparently manifest lying tongues, speech upon speech? that the “greatness” advocated was for an economic, military, prestige, power, and competitive renewal? a revival founded upon the tenets of Babylon?

If God is displeased when we blame Him for things a person does in misdirected agency, is He equally displeased if we mis-credit Him with our contrived, corrupted choices, plans, and imaginations?

Yet, can God still make use of our failings and sins, whatever they are? Could He have despised the choice that was manufactured for and with our consent, yet continue to work with us—long-suffering and merciful till the point of no return?

If we could honestly see our situation, would Isaiah, again, be walking naked and barefoot⁵ as a sign to us that our newest emperor has no clothes, despite claims and boastings?

If we don't wake up to the vast deceptions that surround us on every side—right and left—will we be the ones soon walking naked and barefoot in déjà vu of other fallen kingdoms and empires? in likeness of king Zedekiah and his people?

And how stunning it has become to hear pastors, ministers, and other Christians counsel that since Trump IS God's anointed, he is not to be questioned in his tactics, agendas, and proceedings because to question anything Trump decides or does is to question God. What a perfect recipe for destruction! God help us all!!

All the World’s Become a Stage

(The Déjà Vus of Occult Seduction)

From the book, Ancient Documents and the Pearl of Great Price, we read:

This is the story they tell between the Sethians and the Cainites [descendants of the sons of Adam: Seth, being a disciple of Jehovah; Cain, a follower of Lucifer]. … Their cultures have different traditions, but the Cainites win hands down. There's no contest here at all. It happened over many years, however. They tell us how it happened. The plains had great attraction for the more simple-living people of the high places. They naturally were enticed. Satan took charge down below. He made a covenant. They talk a lot about the covenant, how he directed them and gave them the jewelry and the beautiful clothes and loud instruments. He specialized in brass bands. This would attract the attention of the young people up on the heights. They'd come and look down with some envy at all the fun that was going on down there in the plain—all the lights, the dancing, the carousing, etc. Then we come down the list here. After Cainan and Mahalaleel, then comes Jared. His name means "going down" because that was the day when they went down from the mountain; they left it. Jared told his sons, if you ever go down there, you'll never get back. At first they didn't know the way down, so Satan had to teach them. Satan actually came with a delegation of very important-looking people. He came up and invited Jared, "Come down, Brother Jared, and visit us in the city down below. You'll see what a nice society we have and you will love to stay with us. You'll see what it's like." He was curious, so he went down with them. They dressed up like angels, and they fooled him. He actually was fooled until he got back home, and the angel came and told him, Look, this is terrible. You've been led astray. Don't let your people do this. Satan showed them a way down. There was a gully where a stream went down, and you could get down that way. They started drifting down and joining in the fun. Incidentally, when Jared went there, he was introduced into all the delights of the place. Immediately, they started giving him a real show. It was a session—a real orgy with obscene goings on, etc. He was horrified because the men who came to get him had convinced him.

And oftentimes, to win us to our harm,
The instruments of darkness tell us truths,
Win us with honest trifles, to betray 's
In deepest consequence.^[1]

They won Jared over, but he saw where it was going. Well, his kids started going down and joining in the fun. They couldn't find their way back, and they didn't want to come back either. But they were warned ("if you do"). Pretty soon there was only a small community left up on the hill, the righteous and holy ones. As I say, this is all in these very old traditions. These were discovered in the nineteenth century in several places. There are about a hundred different sources actually.²

Do we see the déjà vu? how it’s all a “great seductive show”? how much of our culture is glued to and consumed with staged extravaganzas. From padded sofas we watch stages without curtains—stages that can entertain 24-hours a day, 365 days a year; stages recorded on twirling discs that can be replayed endlessly in the comfort, privacy, secrecy of our homes. Stages designed around the repetitive promotion of all things Babylon—advertisement on advertisement; seduction upon seduction.

Then we leave our homes and go to bigger stages—to mega-theatres, auditoriums, stadiums, even vast fields where we are mesmerized by massive stages “full of sound and fury, signifying”—what? Like the children of God of olden times, we gaze in awe upon the pyrotechnics and fantasia of show upon show:

Any and every event, an opportunity to seduce.

And we never seem to clue in.

Do we never give thought to what we are seeing? Do we even notice all the occult, satanic and luciferian seductions? Are we just repeating the fall from grace of previous children of God and think it’s all just amazing entertainment showcasing the wonders of man’s genius?

Are we being led down the garden path, passing the tree of knowledge with nary a glance, right into hell?

Pay attention if you must watch the Grammys³ this year. What are you really seeing? Are you prepared for what they are promising, planning?

What better description is there of a life in and for Babylon with all her extravaganzas and her captive “stars”⁴ than these words from the 1600s?

Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.⁵

EXCEPT, living in and for Babylon does signify something—the forfeiture of all that one could have been. Thus, it signifies both nothing and everything at the same time. Which do we want to inherit?

Then let us open our eyes and see what we are seeing and hear what we are hearing. We are almost out of time.

Through a Child’s Eyes ?

In several places the Lord’s servants warn us about the traditions of the fathers [and mothers] and how such traditions have handicapped the children.¹ So, as we wind-down this Christmas season, perhaps we should reflect on some of our own traditions and unexamined beliefs.

Let’s take a recent example. During this season, a picture of a wide-eyed baby was profiled on the cover of a ward bulletin with the words: “We miss something if we don’t see Christmas through a child’s eyes.”²

As usual my perpetually questioning mind³ immediately challenged those words as my memory flashed back to decades of witnessing the grip of Babylon on religious observance⁴ and children’s expectations.

Are we too prone to spout platitudes? too quick to say, “Isn’t that precious,” without ever “proving the words”?^[3] Have we fallen into the trap of idealizing things that are not ideal?

WHAT does a child see at Christmas? What do we introduce infants to before they can even process meaning? How much pretense do we stage as we tack brief “Nativities” onto “sugar-plum” programs? Or troop children through reenactments after we have primed their minds to be anxiously engaged with the “promised appearance of Santa”?

WHO becomes more central for most children—the most important person to ever live OR a fictional Santa who never will live, though we swear to the children that he does? We tell fantastic tales—that this red-attired, “gift-giver” flies with a sleigh and reindeer; that his corpulence pristinely descends and ascends through narrow chimneys, and on-and-on. Do we really think such fabrications are harmless? Do we imagine that false symbols, faux parallels, and commercialized substitutes have no consequence?

What have we acculturated children to focus on and expect? a Santa who gives them stuff—endless, fashionable, hot-item, market-tested stuff—manufactured and mass-marketed by the profiteers of Babylon? And in the hours and days that follow “Santa’s delivery,” how many times do we hear the children query each other with that inevitable, comparative, déjà vu question: “What did you get?”?

So what is this pictured infant seeing? What is that unknown image in those wide eyes? Is this child’s first Christmas encounter one of confused wonder at the wonders of a commercialized world?⁵ And in the years thereafter, do we set them up for the prolonged focus and wonder of  “What am I going to get?”

Our Christmas culture reminds me of a 10-year old boy’s comment about our Easter culture. “I really like Easter,” he said. “The candy part; not all the religious stuff.”⁶ If he and most other children were equally frank about Christmas, they might confess: “I really like Christmas—all the gifts and candy parts; not all that religious stuff.”

Yes, we are counseled:⁷

Therefore, whoso repenteth and cometh unto me as a little child, him will I receive, for of such is the kingdom of God. Behold, for such I have laid down my life, and have taken it up again; therefore repent, and come unto me ye ends of the earth, and be saved (Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 9:22);

and to be

as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father (Book of Mormon | Mosiah 3:19);

but there is a vast difference between these aspects of a child’s nature and the “me-mine” traits that we nurture at Christmas and that the Apostle Paul put away:

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things  (New Testament | 1 Corinthians 13:11).

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; (New Testament | Ephesians 4:14).

Now to a final few questions: When we read criticisms of our traditions, do we become reflexively angry or do we open ourselves to reflection? to pondering possible truths and consequences? to considering how we might become the peculiar people that God desires? to changing our ways to reflect more of His ways? to rejecting incorrect traditions that distract and deflect us from the true light and life of the world?
