Note: These calendar posts are my way of exploring Enoch’s solar calendar. I don’t know yet how to reconcile Enoch with present-day observations, but I plan to keep observing and studying. If these posts prompt others to greater observation and inquiry then so much the better. We learn by asking questions and observing, which we should probably be doing more of since much of God’s sign-language is forecast to occur in the Heavens according to His schedule and calendar. If there are mistakes herein they are undoubtedly mine, not Enoch's.
Background:
Signs, Seasons, Days, and Years: # II (Enoch)1According to the Book of Enoch, the sun continues southward, now rising and setting through East and West portal 2 for 30 days. My observation over the past months is that the sun's movement seems incremental and does not manifest a sudden jump to a new portal after a 30 or 31 days cycle.
Pondering Enoch's Calendar?2
Allegedly, Month VIII has 30 days, with the light / dark division being 7L / 11D (out of 18 parts); and follows Day 30 of Month VII. According to Enoch, the first day of Month VIII always falls on Day Three of the week (our Tuesday).
Below is a PDF grid of what Month VIII (Eight) might look like if we looked to the Book of Enoch instead of Pope Gregory (assuming, of course, that Enoch hasn't suffered text corruption — and who knows for sure?!). For those interested in what has happened in scripture / history during Month VIII [Gregorian October / November], here is a list. And if there is parallelism or déjà vu in times, seasons, and prophecy, could any of these recitations of date have any relevance to these last days? — (the last week of Daniel's 70 weeks?)
