Sighing and Crying?

After “the hand of the Lord GOD” took Ezekiel by the hair of his head and forced him to witness the reality of his religious culture,1 the very next chapter, tells the story of a man in linen with a writer’s inkhorn:
1 [The LORD GOD] cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.
2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.
3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;
4
And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.
5 ¶ And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:
6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
8 ¶ And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?
9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not.
10 And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.
11 And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me (Old Testament | Ezekiel 9:1-11; bold emphasis added.).
In light of this account, perhaps we should engage in some emergency self-analysis:
▪ How much do we know about what is really going on in the world and in secret chambers?

▪ Do we care that most levels of federal, state, and local governments and of law enforcement, corporations, NGOs, and even religious organizations have become infiltrated and corrupted to the point that employees of integrity who try to stand for truth and justice are ordered to abandon or quash investigations; and if they resist, are threatened, maligned, bullied, fired, gang-stalked, and even murdered?

▪ Have we forgotten the recycling “awful situations” where:
» there were sorceries, and witchcrafts, and magics; and the power of the evil one was wrought upon all the face of the land … (Book of Mormon | Mormon 1:19).

» [secret combiners] did mingle themselves among the people, in a manner that they all could not be found (Book of Mormon | Helaman 1:12).

» those Gadianton robbers [were] filling the judgment–seats—having usurped the power and authority of the land; laying aside the commandments of God, and not in the least aright before him; doing no justice unto the children of men; Condemning the righteous because of their righteousness; letting the guilty and the wicked go unpunished because of their money; and moreover to be held in office at the head of government, to rule and do according to their wills, that they might get gain and glory of the world, and, moreover, that they might the more easily commit adultery, and steal, and kill, and do according to their own wills— (Book of Mormon | Helaman 7:4-5).

» they did obtain the sole management of the government, insomuch that they did trample under their feet and smite and rend and turn their backs upon the poor and the meek, and the humble followers of God (Book of Mormon | Helaman 6:39).

» they did unite with those bands of robbers, and did enter into their covenants and their oaths, that they would protect and preserve one another in whatsoever difficult circumstances they should be placed, that they should not suffer for their murders, and their plunderings, and their stealings. … they did have their signs, yea, their secret signs, and their secret words; and this that they might distinguish a brother who had entered into the covenant, that whatsoever wickedness his brother should do he should not be injured by his brother, nor by those who did belong to his band, who had taken this covenant. And thus they might murder, and plunder, and steal, and commit whoredoms and all manner of wickedness, contrary to the laws of their country and also the laws of their God (Book of Mormon | Helaman 6:21-23).

» they began to seek to get gain that they might be lifted up one above another; therefore they began to commit secret murders, and to rob and to plunder, that they might get gain (Book of Mormon | Helaman 6:17).

» [Satan] doth carry on his works of darkness and secret murder, and doth hand down their plots, and their oaths, and their covenants, and their plans of awful wickedness, from generation to generation according as he can get hold upon the hearts of the children of men (Book of Mormon | Helaman 6:30).

» the foundation of the destruction of this people is beginning to be laid by the unrighteousness of your lawyers and your judges (Book of Mormon | Alma 10:27).

» those judges had many friends and kindreds; and the remainder, yea, even almost all the lawyers and the high priests, did gather themselves together, and unite with the kindreds of those judges who were to be tried according to the law. And they did enter into a covenant one with another, yea, even into that covenant which was given by them of old, which covenant was given and administered by the devil, to combine against all righteousness. Therefore they did combine against the people of the Lord, and enter into a covenant to destroy them, and to deliver those who were guilty of murder from the grasp of justice, which was about to be administered according to the law. And they did set at defiance the law and the rights of their country; and they did covenant one with another to destroy the governor, and to establish a king over the land, that the land should no more be at liberty but should be subject unto kings (Book of Mormon | 3 Nephi 6:27-30).

» no man could keep that which was his own, for the thieves, and the robbers, and the murderers, and the magic art, and the witchcraft which was in the land (Book of Mormon | Mormon 2:10).
▪ If we remain willfully ignorant, how can we know enough to sigh and cry for all the abominations that are done, or to stand up against wickedness, or to intercede for victims, or to be prepared to understand what is happening when “all hell breaks loose”? (Or when it is delayed for a time?) (Remember the Book of Revelation?)

▪ Are we in league with those who scoff at the many conspiracy theorists analysts who witness that “democracies” and “republics” are sanctioning and profiting from the trafficking of drugs, humans, guns, biological / chemical weapons, mis- and disinformation, etc., etc.2?

▪ Do we care enough? are we courageous enough? to sigh and cry against the abominations?

▪ To what degree are we trusting in the arms of flesh? in the words of those whose whole purpose is to pursue and / or protect evermore power, gain, glory, and domination?

▪ Are we so enamored with the elites of the political, financial, entertainment, even religious worlds that we can't discern why some sigh and cry?
