Our Father Who art in Heaven,May we all join in this or a similar prayer every day, and also join in a monthly fast and prayers for the “Missing, Murdered, Trafficked, and Abused” as outlined in a previous post entitled By Nothing, But By Prayer and Fasting found at http://dejavu-timestwo.blogspot.ca/2016/12/by-nothing-but-by-prayer-and-fasting.html.
Hallowed be Thy name.
In these times of recurring stress, strife, debt, confusion, [contagion], violence, and [war],
May every eye desire to see;
May every ear desire to hear;
May every heart desire to be penetrated with
Knowledge, understanding, wisdom, discernment, and truth.
May every soul recognize the repeating cycles of oppressive corruption
By those pursuing and protecting power, gain, [glory, and domination].
May every soul awaken to a sense of our awful situation
Because of their secret combinations which are everywhere amongst us.
Wilt Thou bring the wicked to repentance,
But if, in their agency,
They refuse Thy grace and mercy,
Wilt Thou bring them to exposure and accountability.
Wilt Thou grant unto whistle-blowers and truth-tellers,
And unto every soul seeking to aid the cause of truth,
Courage and protection.
To those suffering at the hands and commands of the wicked,
Wilt Thou grant strength, help, and healing.
Wilt Thou open the eyes of those blind to the deceptions of the wicked;
Wilt Thou bring out the prisoners from the secret prisons;
Wilt Thou bring those caged in darkness out of the houses and pits of torture.
May we fast and pray for our suffering siblings
Found in every nation, kindred, tongue, and people.
May we be persuaded to do good continually;
To help bind up broken hearts.
Wilt Thou help us not to wrongfully judge,
But to judge righteous judgment for
It is our everlasting desire that
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth, as it is done in heaven.
Please, give us all this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And suffer us not to be led into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
Forever and ever, Amen.
