Discerning What Is Evil: Milk or Strong Meat?

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.¹

“Our Fragile Goodness”

(Exploring the soil of the Soul)

If we thought we knew our friends, neighbours, congregants, pastors, children, siblings, parents, police, employers, grocers, gov. officials, and on and on; yes, if we thought we knew them, this past year has revealed traits we could never have suspected? The state of belief, hope, blindness, and obedience in and to the inhuman agendas of world and worldly powers has been stunning.

If we thought we knew the soil of such souls, we, obviously, did not. Even the soil of our own souls has been tested (with more unbelievable tests to come as the history of resisters and heretics repeats itself with a technocratic super-boost). How do we deal with the injustices we witness everywhere, stemming from the mocking, unconscionable mandates and cruelties being increasingly perpetrated that “fearing-believers” cannot seem to see or hear, even in their own conduct? What do we do with the anger we feel? The obtuseness of fearing-believers in lies and liars seems an insurmountable division. Have they no awareness of what was sacrificed for rights and freedoms? no awareness of the history and psychopathy of power and power abuse? no awareness of their duty to observe and to think? It all seems a déjà vu parallel to the parable of the sower,¹ — that allegory of receptiveness to truth, whether 1) positive truth concerning spiritual growth or 2) negative truth, being the reality of the scheming, envious prince of this world; that bitter enemy of God and man; that spirit of deception and destruction.

What do we do with the frustration? the anger?

That fragility of goodness within us necessitates the constant intercession of grace. The fragility of goodness between us necessitates the constant extension of grace to each other. This, of course, becomes crucial in the face of deliberate wrongs perpetrated and suffered. Anger and justice are vicious and virtuous ways to respond to sins enacted against one another as persons. As a vice, anger resists the redemptive and restorative work of Christ by becoming consumed with vengeance against the wrongdoer. Justice participates in the redemptive and restorative work of Christ among the people of God by being truthful about the wrongs suffered and working to restore right relationship.

But the world is fallen, and anger does consume individuals and communities. Whatever its path, when vice builds upon vice, and the resistance to a forgiving and loving God is truly entrenched in the soul, the preached words of reconciliation and redemption fall on a hard soil. There may indeed be hardened souls, souls that even the corporate work of justice and reconciliation can barely penetrate, if at all, in this life. In such difficult cases, however, we would do well to remember that justice is only a virtue and not God. Thus, I will end this book with the virtue that is also the name of God— love.²

Yet how do we get to the point of even asking for gifts of grace to love the un-awakened? the supporters, yea, even the “snitches” and enforcers of Satanic agendas? Perhaps the parable of the wheat and the tares³ also applies. Perhaps some whom we perceive as tares are not, and will awaken before it's too late. How can we know, for the soil of souls has been so trampled for generations by propaganda, pscience,⁴ and predictive programming, it is a wonder in this age of “lying wonders”⁵ that so much soil is still receptive to the reality of psychopathic powers intent on dominating, destroying, and restructuring creation? How do we even know if those we perceive as awakened (including ourselves) shall not prove tares in the end because we allowed seeds of anger and vengeance to take root in the soil of our fragile goodness?

02 - Isaiah Today — CONfederacy?

One of God's laments about the children of Abraham was their continual search for help and safety by making alliances with other nations instead of looking to Him.¹ So again, if Isaiah is written as history AND prophecy² can we apply a prophetic, latter-day understanding to Old Testament | Isaiah 8:11-13 (despite its many contextual, interpretive challenges³):

For the LORD spake thus to me [Isaiah] with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.⁴

The people of Judah and Jerusalem were in crisis. Assyria⁵ was a formidable power and Judah's neighbors, Aram / Syria and Israel were trying to force Judah into an alliance of defense against Assyria⁶ which king Ahaz of Judah opposed, being apparently pro-Assyria in his fear of the Aram / Israel alliance. Despite Isaiah's counsel, Ahaz appealed to Assyria for help against his neighbors and ended up becoming a tributary to Assyria.

SO, applying the prophetic purpose of Isaiah, who or what are we afraid of today? What is the latter-day way of this people – the ones crying for a confederacy – an alliance with some imagined savior? protector? (an alliance with pscience?⁷) Except Isaiah was instructed “with a strong hand” that he must not sanction a confederacy of any sort. He was not to go with the flow of worldly fear; he was to reject the way of the people; he was to say, perhaps with also a strong arm and voice: ”

“neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.”

Is this the message?

“Let [God] be your fear ... let Him be your dread.”

Why dread? Could trust in (confederacy with) those pursuing and protecting power, gain, glory, and total control under cover of COVID be as catastrophic as signaling the end of man⁸ as God created him / her, male and female? as catastrophic as becoming tributaries? serfs? eternal captives? of a latter-day, yet ancient Assyrian system?

(Michael is the author of a forthcoming book, The Rebel Jesus ~ October 2021; and of a highly critical article† concerning two Alberta pastors resisting COVID mandates. This was emailed to Michael, February 26, 2021, but I publish it here for the consideration of other Michaels who are trusting in the narrative.)

Dear Michael:

The irony of forecasting publication of a book titled, The Rebel Jesus, below a post condemning those who are resisting authority is quite amazing!! What did Jesus continually do when He was told: “It is not lawful ...”?* And do you not think that the Scribes and Pharisees might have written the same of Jesus and John the Baptist that you wrote of Tim and James? [Italics identify cleric Michael's words; square brackets [ ] mine.]

“[We] can't help thinking that [publicity] is precisely what these [two rebels, John and Jesus] want. ... these [rebels] who have a contrary, jarring interpretation of scripture. An extreme fringe. This is the view not just of [we, S & P,] ... but the Roman[s] ... and so many others. In fact, it's only an extreme fringe. ... It's those [rebel]s, however, that tend to make the noise and gather the attention. A case in point being, for example, [that locust-eating John and that Sabbath-breaking Jesus of Nazareth. (Can anything good ...?] The case has, predictably, attracted international attention. And, by the way, to embrace various conspiracy theories** ... [of plans to kill them and to] see the immoral hand of secular government ... and to regard resistance as some form of [divine] command. There's an element of ... martyrdom on display in these [two], because they know that their ... rejection of authority appears heroic to their base. Bombast and hubris: they can tell their supporters that they're being persecuted for their faith.”

And Michael, what of your “gentle rabbi Jesus”? You know, the One with the “scourge of small cords” (2X); the One who called the “authorities” hypocrites (7 times in rapid succession) interspersed with “ye blind guides;” “ye fools and blind;” “whited sepulchres;” “Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers”? Not to mention “Tell that fox [Herod] ...”

As to your other comments [appended with my added perspective]:

... while the lockdown has certainly made life more challenging for all of us, clergy included, it certainly hasn't made it impossible [except for the escalation of suicides, the overdoses, the cruelty of isolation, extreme loneliness, extreme stress of sudden instability, the increasing child and spousal abuse and murders; etc. etc.. that are estimated by many to be far more catastrophic than the deaths attributed to COVID.]

In fact, it's only an extreme fringe within Christianity [except for the thousands on thousands of science, medical, mental health, legal professionals*** and others who know and understand the science and history of power and power abuse. To cast off conspiracy** as merely a theory is to be amongst those who “seeing, see not, and hearing, hear not” the reality of things as they are, as they have been, as they will continue to be unless we wake up to the reality of the power-obsessed prince of this world, and then act with discerning wisdom in defense of truth and justice.]

The essential difference between you, dear Michael, and the resisters (that you have judged as “extreme fringe”) is that you manifest as a believer in the narrative of “authorities,” whereas the resisters do not believe in that narrative (just as Jesus didn't believe in the power narrative of His day, including the rituals of washing, etc.) But this is different, you might say: “There is a terrible, novel virus.” Except, do you not know that long ago, the powers recognized the power potential of disease? (Remember the small-pox blankets?) Do you not know about decades of multi-national, gain-of-function research?

Yes, there are people sick or dying, but many resisters believe in Revelation 2:9 — that we are in an age of “lying wonders,” the like of which the world has never seen, aided by a technology and a bio-weapon industry devised and designed for total control. Many know that the power paradigm that killed Jesus and most of His Apostles, plus tens of thousands of His disciples in every age, even to this very day, is working feverishly to finally achieve what has been sought for millennia — the destruction of the world and of man as created by Almighty God. It will not end with a comfortable martyrdom for those who live by their conscience because the lines and divisions are being drawn more rigidly every day.

So, yes, some people are sick and some dying, as they always have and will, but the COVID death and case counts have been manipulated which can be clearly discerned if one can break out of indoctrination to look beyond the MSM and power narrative into the real data, even the revised WHO data.

Investigate the COVID deaths in your congregation (or personal knowledge) compared to deaths in prior years. Do COVID deaths deserve more compassion than other deaths like cancer, influenza, suicide, overdose, accident, etc.? What was the “test cycle threshold” that justified a COVID death report***? Whom should we believe? The powers pursuing and protecting more power, gain, and glory? or the whistle-blowers and truth-seekers who risk everything in pursuit and exposure of what is real?

The resisters see the deliberate fomenting of division; the destruction of people's lives, hopes, and dreams; the disparagement of rights and rights' advocates; and the obsessive pursuit of total control by the powers to be but a repeat of numerous attempts in the past as documented in history and prophesied in scripture. Remember Ephesians 6:12? John's Revelation?

As a Christian, this is all grimly difficult to watch, because it's so potentially dangerous. [Not potentially, Michael, IS, because the last-days' powers will not dis-empower themselves for as Harry Kissinger admits: “Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.” Thus the variants and fear-mongering by the powers and their MSM will proliferate, as needed till their Utopian (dystopian) WO is achieved. They are already telling us so.]

Also, frankly, because it makes the beliefs I hold so dear to appear crass, extreme, anti-science and hysterical [because you accept the power narrative that tells you so. The resisters are not anti-science. They are anti-corrupted, -manipulated science in the service of WO.]

This is, please believe me, not the church [that the powers want nor that Satan wants. He wants a compliant, unquestioning church, trusting in the arm of flesh to blindly accept experimental vaccines and anti-social, defacing, demoralizing, dehumanizing mandates under cover of love and sacrifice — till the Church is no more.]

That's because the most central teaching of Jesus is to love God, and love one's neighbour as oneself. That means love for community, a concern for the well-being of others, a selfless and sacrificial empathy for everybody. [But it also means love of rights and freedoms given by God. It means not trusting in the arm of flesh. It means to be awake to the reality of power abuse. It means that until we admit that the pursuit and protection of power gain, and glory have plagued every age of history, we will never understand the events of our time. It means standing for truth. It means knowing that even devils can quote scripture in furtherance of a control agenda.]

The Almighty was unavailable for comment [except that He and many of His followers already have commented and set the example to ignore “laws” that are not lawful or that are based in fear and exaggeration of purpose to support power agendas. And if you think “turn the other cheek” means placid submission to wrong or harm, read the works of Walter Wink.****]

This COVID scenario is a made-in-hell, nigh perfect scenario to perpetuate fear, blind obedience, and distrust in everything and everyone except the advocates of the narrative — the promising saviours.

So please, do not be a blind guide to your parishioners or the public. Study the science and history of power abuse, mind control, the 1960s Stanley Milgram Experiment, psychological warfare, and the adversary's agenda throughout history. Perhaps Jesus already gave us a clue? Count the sheep on the narrow way, then count the sheep on the broad way.***** Which has been the persistent way of history? Being led astray is why a persistent Gospel message is: repent, repent, repent. Trust in the Good Shepherd.

The powers and the crowd have almost never been a safe escort.

Are we making a mystery out of something that is not really a mystery. I speak of the seeming enigma of Jesus being called both the “Father and the Son”?¹ BUT could it be as simple as DNA or the like?

“I am in the Father, and the Father in me”?²

Of course, there could be other and deeper meanings, but what mortal father or mother? what mortal son or daughter? could not as readily say:

“I am in my father and my father in me. I am in my mother and my mother in me.”

Is that not what paternity tests or the tracing of maternal lineages are based on? discovering the father, the mother in me?³

Which brings us immediately to perhaps the most important decision we will each have to make in 2021 and beyond. Will an mRNA vaccine irrevocably (forever and ever) change or corrupt DNA such that one can no longer say, in truth: “I am in my father / mother, and my father / mother in me”?

The profiteers are claiming that nuclear DNA alteration will not occur, but others are claiming otherwise.⁴ Is this a test? Does God expect us to take a stand and say to the profiteers: “As for me and my house, we choose to not believe or trust in your promises. The witness of history, greed, and power abuse weigh overwhelmingly against your altruistic claims.” So, if we are in an age of lying wonders,⁵ why are we trusting in the arm of flesh?⁶ Do we not know, from scripture and history that Satan has been seeking for millennia to destroy the world that God created?⁷ Is this not the perfect scenario for long-laid plans? Can we see a partial déjà vu from ancient Americas 29-23 B.C.⁸ in this decade of the 2020s? Why do so many continue to sleep-walk and pretend that conspiracies are all just theories?⁹

But let us return to another possible explanation of the Father / Son enigma. Could it also be as simple as adoption — that the Son could thus become the Father (of faithful sons and daughters)?

Behold, I am he who was prepared from the foundation of the world to redeem my people. Behold, I am Jesus Christ. I am the Father and the Son. In me shall all mankind have life, and that eternally, even they who shall believe on my name; and they shall become my sons and my daughters.¹⁰

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ... And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.¹¹

But this also brings us back to mRNA. If it is really gene “therapy,” as some claim, will it create another kind of adoption, where humans can then be patented, like GMO animals and seeds?¹² be registered as property of a patent holder? be managed even to the extent that reproduction and offspring are controlled by an “owner”? Our unbelief and / or willful blindness about the secretive depth and depravity of the adversary and his minions have, in large measure, brought us to this point in history. If we continue to sleep-walk into and through this decade, the despotic system will only intensify and we will have violated the urgent command to awaken.¹³ The consequences will be tragic.

Yes, I acknowledge, there are plenty of “things of God” and “mysteries of God” that are beyond mortal comprehension, but I wonder, if more times than not, Occam's razor¹⁴ might apply to understanding this apparent Father / Son mystery.

Now behold, it is these secret oaths and covenants which Alma commanded his son should not go forth unto the world, lest they should be a means of bringing down the people unto destruction.
